Okay, okay, okay!!
I understand I haven't posted in a while. I know you must check my blog daily, in hopes of reading a few witty and insightful comments by yours truly. You're desperate for some Ry commentary. I get it, faithful readers(s). From now on, I will try harder to accomodate you. Read on, folks.
-- I'm defintely looking forward to the "Alias" finale tonight. I won't say anything specific (lest I suffer the wrath of Sv who doesn't take kindly to spoilers), but I am looking forward to Sydney Bristow kicking a little ass. That doesn't really qualify as a spoiler, does it? I mean, she kicks ass in every episode, so it's more like a commonly known fact, right? Okay, I've already spent too much time on this. Moving on...
-- J and I tried Birkam Yoga this weekend and it was awesome. If you haven't heard of it, it's basically like doing yoga in a sauna. Seriously, the room is like 105 degrees and you sweat like a Mutha F- well, you know what I mean. I thought I would hate it, but I found it really invigorating. On a related note, J and I have decided that yoga teachers are the most chilled out profession in the world. Could you ever picture someone going, "Jeez, my yoga teacher stresses me the hell out"?
-- The jury's back on The DaVinci Code: Liked the book. Almost fell alseep during the movie. At one point, Mr. Tom Hanks was like, "We better get there fast" and I turned to J and said, "Nothing happens fast in this movie." Truer words were never spoken. I think the best part of the movie for me was when MTH cracked one of the codes and a kid sitting behind us yelled out "Score!"
-- The other day, I went over to the market across the street and picked up an apple for lunch. I'm a fan of apples, especially the best apple variety ever created, the Fuji. (Probably only Crunch, J & K will get this one but it needs to be said: "Hey you guys like Fujis??" but, I digress...) I grabbed what appeared to be a Fuji (according to the sticker) and was looking forward to eating it. Long story short (too late), when I bit into the apple, it had the chewy skin of a Gala, the mushyness and chalkiness of a Red Delicious, and was defintely not, in fact, a Fuji. Apparently, if it looks like a Fuji and is labeled a Fuji, it isn't necessarily a Fuji. (Do I have to change the name of my blog to "girlwhoiscrazyaboutfujiapples.blogspot.com now? I hope not...)
-- For the record, I would like to make it clear, that I'm not NOT on the Tigers bandwagon, J. I'm just doing my best to avoid the disappointment brought on by (at least in the past what has been) an inevitable collapse. The best analogy I can give you is it's like deciding whether you want to take back your boyfriend/girlfriend who you've broken up with and gotten back together with a couple of times. On one hand, you love them, but on the other, you're pretty sure they're going to break your heart again. We'll see... As I've maintained all season, I'm reserving judgment until the AllStar Break.
-- Check out what I assume will be quickly become my summer reality TV obsession: The Hills. As J said earlier, "Can. Not. Wait." Word, sister.
-- Song of the Day (because when you think about it, Dave Matthews Band really does rock): Tripping Billies- DMB.
