Quick thoughts...

-- Congrats to the Steelers (and More Cowbell's very own Jerome Bettis & Willie PARKER) on the Super Bowl victory. Overall, though, the game was a little boring -- anyone else agree? For the record, I thought that the City of Detroit looked pretty good on TV, and despite some of the negative media comments, I think it was a good showing for the City. (On a semi-related note, how funny were all the local news broadcasters soliciting pictures of celebrities partying in the D? "If you have a celebrity sighting, take a picture with your camera phone and email it to Channel 4!" I wonder how many sub-par, grainy photos of Kid Rock they received? In the thousands? :) I'm still bummed that I did not receive my invitation to the Diddy "cashmere" party on Saturday night.

-- Movie recommendation: "Walk the Line" Both Reese Witherspoon's & Joaquin Phoenix's performance are Oscar worthy (in my opinion) and even if you'd never heard of Johnny Cash (Jess, I'm talking to you) it's a great story.

-- Project Runway Update: The "V" in Daniel V. stands for "victorious" once again. He's defintely the one to beat, although I thought Chloe's dress was really pretty. I really think it's a matter of time for comic relief Santino (how hilarious is his spot-on impersonation of Tim Gunn?) and Kara (who is way out of her league at this point).

-- Is it just me, or were the commericals from the Super Bowl less than memorable this year? Of course, nothing could compete with the Office Linebacker from a couple of years ago....

-- Quote of the day from Dan Patrick re: Mick Jagger- "I don't need to see a 65 year old man in a belly shirt." Word.

-- Song of the Day: "Signed Sealed Delivered"- Stevie Wonder (who did a great job at the Super Bowl pre-game)
