Procrastinating Work...
-- Although it doesn't really seem like it, a year ago yesterday, I found out that I passed the Bar. Crazy, eh? A special shot-out to J & Sv who sent me a beautiful boquet of flowers at work to commemerate the date. Thanks, guys. :)
-- TV Fave Lately: "Alias" re-runs on TNT. I've always thought I'd like the show, but never got into it the first time around. My best description is that it's like "Felicity" crossed with a video game... add in a little eye candy for both the guys (Jen Garner) and the gals (Michael Vartan- tres cute) , and you have a recipe for success, or at least according to our apartment.
-- Another tough FFL loss last week to Team 7. Should be an interesting match-up this week with Jen's team: "Tom Brady's Tight Butt." Yes, that really is her team's name. It never stopped being funny at the draft when she said, "With the fourth overall pick in the draft, 'Tom Brady's Tight Butt' selects..." On a related note, I think I have to give the "Hardest Website to Navigate" award to the ESPN Fantasy Football page. It can't seem to remember my log in and password even when I tell it to (how can you not hate a website that doesn't do what you tell it to do?), I can never totally tell whether my line-up changes were processed and in general, it just sucks.
-- In case anyone is taking notes, I don't think I could hate USC more. Not only do they win games (and win HUGE), they're actually HAVING FUN! This week, instead of practicing, Coach Pete Carroll played a Halloween trick on the team. I think Coach Carr's trick on our team this week was "Hey guys, let's practice our offense... only kidding..."
-- Speaking of Halloween, I passed out candy at my friends' house and when I gave a kid some candy, he actually said "More candy, please." I was in shock... uh, since when do you get to ask for more candy while trick-or-treating, even if you do ask politely? Isn't it sort of up to the candy-passer-outer as to how much you get? I felt like telling the little brat to return the candy I'd already given him, or at least let me pick out something from his bag to keep instead.
Back to work...

-- Song of the Day: "Don't cha Wanna Ride"- Joss Stone. If for no other reason than the great line: "a car this fine don't pass your way every day..."
